Autism Ontario has reached out with helpful resources for families living with individuals on the Autism Spectrum during this time. These resources include caregiver tips, mental health support and fun activities.
This list of resources is bilingual and will be updated daily. As they gather more resources, they hope to add Indigenous and Cultural sections to this list as well.
GirlZone is an evening program for girls 13 + empowering girls to become healthy, educated and independent adults. Programs run throughout the school year in a series of consecutive 4-week sessions.
Teen girls develop leadership skills, participate in activities that build their self-confidence and cooperation skills, all while becoming strong leaders in our community. Teens also have the opportunity to act as peer-mentors to younger girls and earn volunteer community service hours. A place where your opinion counts, where you can ask questions, explore and have lots of FUN!
*For the first time in over five years, Girls Inc. of Durham has made the difficult decision to raise our prices for memberships, programming events, and late fees. We continue to serve hundreds of girls across Durham Region, however our funding revenues have been steadily decreasing over the past few years. We have been forced to compensate for this by raising our prices to deliver the same standard of excellence.
Sessions: Wednesdays 6:30pm to 8:30pm
$25/ 4-week session for Members or $40/ 4-week session for non-members
